But remember - being a speakeasy it's not noticeable from the street, it looks like it's closed. Read more. Date of experience: February Helpful Share.
Mitchell L wrote a review Feb Amazing speakeasy bar. After walking thought the nondescript doors into the speak easy, you are greeted by friendly staff.
Their selection is impressive and prices are not outrageous. Super laid back vibe with different couches and chairs. Plus fun games to play! Carrie5 wrote a review Jan This place rocked it. Super laid back ambiance, just what we were looking for. Love the decor. Date of experience: January Brian J wrote a review Sep So me and a friend of mine were in town on a work trip looking for a cool local place to have a drink.
The selection is amazing. The lady that served us was so lovely. We engaged is some conversation that had religious and political moments at the bar. I consider myself a moderate Christian patriot. I see fault on both sides but I am very tolerant of an opinion other than mine. After what I considered wonderful debate we were asked to leave by the owner for our slightly but highly tolerant conservative views. I thought it was very disrespectful actions brought on by a very respectful conversation.
I feel it was very embarrassing and totally unnecessary. I hesitate to condemn this place because it is so wonderfully different but be warned.
If you have different views other than progressive far left keep them silent. The owner has no tolerance for any belief other than his own. Date of experience: September Charlotte, North Carolina 30 contributions 5 helpful votes. This place is overrated.
I heard about it from a local when visiting with my husband for our anniversary weekend so we thought we'd stop by for after dinner drinks. From what I've read in other reviews, this isn't the first time this has happened at this spot. Bartender's were not friendly or attentive and entire bar area was extremely crowded. The only upside here was the music and the diverse group of people. I won't be visiting again.
